Great Plains Renaissance Festival, September 29-30th
Take a step back in time with this annual medieval festival. The two-day event highlights entertainment like pirates, knights, jousting, jugglers, musicians, dancers, and more. Food, drinks, and crafts will be available for purchase.
Tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate online, offering $4 off the general admission price. Each adult ticket purchased online also comes with a free children’s ticket, an additional $5 value.
The event will be held at Sedgwick County Park on September 29 and 30, running from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days.
Bloktoberfest – October 5th & 6th
Mix a block party and Oktoberfest and you’ll get the Annual ICT Bloktoberfest by Xclusive events! The event is back for it’s third year, it’s open to the public and free to attend with ticketed admission for some select things. Participants will enjoy live music, food trucks, carnival games, yard games, wiener dog races, stein hoisting competitions, and Beerfest. Also, a new addition this year, ICT Burger Battle, organized by KETCH has partnered to become part of Blocktoberfest. It’s fun for the whole family, including your pet!
Old Cowtown’s County Fair, October 6
Try your hand at the pie eating and tug of war. Find out who is the strongest man. Listen to some music and watch some magic. After all you experience, your sure to be entertained.
Regular Old Cowtown admission rates apply: $9/adults, $8/seniors (ages 62+), $7/youth (ages 12-17), $6/kids (ages 5-11). Kids 4 and under and Cowtown members get in free.
BOOtanica at Botanica, October 13
Join in the fun at BOOtanica! Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Bring the family out for a variety of different activities for children of all ages.
Games, art projects, animals, live music, demonstrations and more.
General Admission is $9 for the public and $6 for members.
Tallgrass Film Festival, October 17-21
As the largest independent film festival in the state of Kansas, the Tallgrass Film Festival will take place October 17-21. The event includes the works of filmmakers worldwide.

Prairieland Beer & Music Festival, October 20
Welcome to the inaugural Prairieland Beer & Music Festival presented by the Kansas Craft Brewer’s Guild. Start your day with beer sampling from breweries across the state of Kansas and some of our friends from around the region. The music starts when the taps open with Bad Mother Hubbard and Mensaje Norteno taking the stage during the beer festival. After the beer sampling the party keeps going with Marcus Lewis Big Band and we close the night out with a performance from The Budos Band.
October 20th from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. Tickets start at $25.
